Natalie counsels companies to identify, protect, enforce and leverage their assets in a way that puts more money on the bottom line. Her practice focuses on many areas of intellectual property, including trademark, copyright, false advertising, trade secret, unfair competition and domain name disputes. She has particular expertise in representing mid-market, $10M – $500M companies across many diverse industries, including fitness coaching, promotional products, online communities, clothing, art and special effects and more.
Clients come to Natalie for her expertise in intellectual property, but continue to work with her because she is well-versed in handling general business legal matters as well. She often drafts licensing agreements, master services agreements, sponsorship agreements, membership agreements and various employment-related documents for clients.
Active in the legal community, Natalie speaks regularly on various topics related to trademark and copyright issues and participates in the marketing, advertising and branding communities in which her clients do business. Natalie is a Lifetime Chicago Friend of Boardroom Bound, an organization that trains and supports the efforts of women and minorities to secure corporate board positions.
Prior to private practice, Natalie worked for Ty Inc., an American toy company that specializes in the production of plush toys, including BEANIE BABIES®. She managed large domestic and foreign trademark and copyright portfolios, engaging in searching and clearance, preparation of applications, obtaining registrations and creation and implementation of enforcement programs. She also handled a variety of general corporate issues.
Natalie holds a Certificate of Completion from Northwestern University’s School of Continuing Studies in Mediation Skills Training.
